Last autumn I flew out to the portuguese island where my fiance is from. Seems I am gonna be spending a lot of time there in the future. Its right on the mid atlantic ridge, the island group is called the Azores, 900 miles off the coast of Portugal,

I thought I was going to the Algarve, I went on a mission, including little propellor planes to visit a volcano in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, I had a great time but check the pics, this thing has to blow soon, now I live in London, I worry about crack head muggers and crazy bombers, natural disasters are not part of my programming at all.

I stayed on the volcano, and will do many more times, I reckon my kit needs to include..

1. A Land Rover Defender V8 Long Wheel Base.
2. A 45 ft Ocean going launch that can be towed by my Defender, the launch has to be able to sustain me and my family for 3 months in the Ocean,

Well thats my plan, I can deal with thieves and hoodrats but a volcano needs real planning.

First small earthquakes I feel I am dusting out in the defender and getting at least 150 miles away, anyone heard of Krakatoa, I imagine this thing to be like that,
