Compiling

Post by Guest »

I have never done a map before and when I try to compile the map in Mbuilder it goes through the thing and says press any key to exit. I get into the game and it's not there! I selected "free for all" in the options and it's in the right directory. When I made it pause after .bis, .vis.... it said, "*****ERROR*****" and didn't give any information. Though it said "specify how many threads to use" a few lines under. What do I do? I used the basic room tutorial on this sight and i want to see if ti works! NOTE: after compiling there is a .bak file in the maps/dm folder and i noticed the one i downloaded is .min

The .bak file is a backup file of your .map file. The .min file has something to do with keeping a record of how the map loaded on your pc I think.

You sure there was not more to the error msg. With more info on the error I could walk you through to a successful complie. A screen shot work work if you can remember all the error msg.
