AHH !!!
This isnt really a question just a complaint
I like moh radient, its hard to use at first, but i got use to it. But man i gotta tell you that im so freakin tired of going to pick general_structure or general_industrial and have radient crash. I usually have to restart my computer to get it to work. Irritating i must say. This is my second map that ive been making so my anger toward general section of textures is increasing....may god have mercy on my soul !!!!

Just make sure that u save regularly - I get the same thing when I open up some of the larger texture files - it is very annoying but hopefully when EALA release the SDK it might be fixed - either that or Scorpio will have managed to help the GTK Rad guys figure a way to get it to work for MoHAA....

I was having the same thing happen to me when I opened central_europe_winter. I had one map open (that was rather big...lots of LOD) and everytime i opened that texture set, it would crash. So I opened a smaller map that I had with barley anything in it, then opened central_europe_winter texture set, and it didnt crash. then I opened my other bigger map, and the textures vanished from the browser, so then at the top i clicked textures... then clicked <up> and they were all there.... i dunno what i did really, but it worked without crashing

ok quick Q - how have u got MoH Rad setup ? - When I had it setup to show 3 grid windows (top, front, side) with a 4th window being the 3d window it kept crashing all the time when I opened a large texture folder. I've changed the layout (Edit->preferences) to just 1 big grid window, the 3d window and the texture window and it works fine now.....
As for compiling - noone is quite sure but people have managed to get there maps to full compile in a couple of hours - some have waited a week for it to compile

ive got all the textures i use most in a folder called mods in mohaa/main. then instead of loading a whole set of textures, sometimes loads of textures just to find the one i need, i look thru the folders looking for the one i need, then goto rename then copy the file name. then you go to the surface shader box, and put the path, eg mohtest/ then paste the filename. it saves loads of time, and mohr never crashes this way.
once youve extracted all the textures, you can delete the folders like special and stuff. youll never need to use them and they just take up space
