i have tried two different .bsp > .map convertors. each finishes converting but when i try to open up the .map file with mohradient it crashes. i have tried it with 3 different maps all different sizes, a small medium and large map does anyone know what i should do?

Another Tip.
Also remember after the map finally loads, every brush, everything will be selected. So you might want to hit escape to deselect everything before exploring and moving about. I also got tired of the crashing until I hit escape by accident and found out that that was the problem for me.

And do donsider the following...
The bsp converter does not always convert a hundred percent of what is in the original map. For instance, you will often see messages scrolling in the Radiant Editor while the map is being read in..... saying the editor is creating entities for entities that do not have a brush stroke assigned. So
when you start trying to find things like perhaps script_objects that where assigned to some entity.....whatever, you will not find a completly described entity, when you go into the entity editor (N key). In short as some folks have commented the bsp editors are crap. But they do have
a use to help us figure out how certain things are done in someone else's
original map. At least the above warning has been the case with my limited use of these de-compilers.
cheers.
