Why do these boxes look black?

On my weapon skin some boxes are black instead of grey!

Can someone please help me?

The Grey Ares are the parts that will be rendered when complete the black areas wont so you'll need to fix this - Select the effected areas and click Face -> Reverse Vertex Order

Is Face -> Reverse Vertex Order supposed to turn them grey because when I click it they just stay black.

And Alcoholic it's from a video tutorial

It should turn them black basicly what happens is when u aply faces to your vertex's you need to apply them in a clockwise order (if not they go black) If Reversing the order doesnt work maybe you should try doing that part again
