i've only just started mapping and allready im lost :shock:
in MoH Radiant i have created 6 brushes (i think thats what they're called) to make a room. I cant figure out how to select a brush and change it or delete it. And something else thats really bugging me is a message that keps popping up saying cannot save main/maps is read only :S
Also the entity box poped up for no reason and wont go away....
someone help me pllleeeeeeeaaaasssseee!~!!!!!! (ok thats a bit over board)

i had all the same problems... to reselect a brush hold shift and click on it in any view. to delete a brush hit backspace with the brush selected. to get rid of the message, go edit > prefernces and uncheck autosave.

To get rid of the entities box press 'n'
Mapping is just INCREDIBLY time consuming.

and also to select one face of a brush for textureing cntrl+shift+click or select a brush and use cntrl+shift+click to deselect faces

no point starting another thread.... how do i select a brush thats behind another brush? so far i have just been moving the brush in front to get to the one behind :?

use the camera, and shift click it.

no bad idea :(

autosaves give u valuable back up copies of your map

-to get rid of the messages, just save your map-for me the messages only occur when the map hasn't been saved yet

You can select brushes in the 3D view. You can also change the 2D view by hitting keys Ctrl and Tab. There is a way to filter out things in the view menu too.

yeah its just anoying seeing the brush there and i try to click on it but it selects the wall thats in front :x i suppose using the 3d view will be alot easier especialy when my maps become bigger. and for the autosave i didnt put a map name in the directory so thats why it didnt work
