There are too many vertices repeating themselves along a single axis (ie you have an extremely long single brush). It can also mean you have a "brush side polygon" somewhere with more than 64 corner points.

SOLUTION: Find the offending brush (edit -> find entity/brush, and enter the brush number.) and either delete it or cut it into smaller pieces.
That's the second entry on the first post

my problem is MAX_SURFACE_INFO, I read in the first post it means to much shader data in the scripts file, how do I go about fixing this?

oops sorry I didn't see that on the first post the first time.
I only have city nights and 1 other map(which only has a couple custom textures) that can't be that much, can it?

I'm not 100% sure how it works but even 1 user made .pk3 file can screw things up

Un-deleteable brush

Post by CommandoKiller »

Ive read all the posts on this topic and have tried a few things to fix my problem, but none have worked. Im getting the MAX_POINTS_ON_WINDING error. Ive gone through and cut up some larger pieces with no success. I found I also had Float Plane: bad normal. So I downloaded the Rogue file that you suggested. Im not sure how to use it though. But I searched for the floatplanes on my map and they are so big they extend far off the map. (I dunno if they always do or not) But when I select them and delete them they are back next time I search for them. Heres my compile logs:

Yes i know its huge. I think that is the float plane. But i cant get any better picture of what it is and I dont know how it got there, but there are about 20 of them. Only one is selected.

RodneyBrazil, I think your -gamedir isn't right. Check your paths in MBuilder.

Serph, maybe you had text selected in the dos window? If you select text the compile doesn't continue, if you right click the text is unselected and the compiler continues :)

he says that, in Mbuilder your game directory is set wrong..

get the path to your game directory for moh, copy it and paste it into the text box in moh labeled game directory
