Crashes now and then? Help!

Post by m0g »

All of a sudden my version of Mohaa is crashing now and then when playing MP... just reinstalled WinXP Home on my other machine and updated it with all the latest gfxcard drivers, Windows update and DirectX9...? Its start to annoy me because everytime we're having a match I need to reconnect maybe 2-3 times during the game...grrrr

Console says something about:

Com_EventLoop: bad event type 1359320

Does anyone know what this is?

Its horrible of me to say but I'm glad someone else is having this problem :) Sorry m0g.

My game used to run fine on a modem and all. Then I installed spearhead and I got broadband, since then my machine crashes right in the middle of the action, sometimes just the game more often my whole machine, I never made a logfile of the crash but I would bet its the same as m0g's, yeah 3-4 times crashing during a match sounds like mine.

Do you have spearhead installed m0g, if not then maybe our problems are not the same, I even bought another 256 ram thinking that might have been the problem, fast modem and 20 other players, that didnt work still got my problems.

"If I win this war, you will be slaves forever."
The Spartan ephors sent back a one word reply: "If".

If you got alot of RAM then u dont need Pagin File! Its there if your pc needs more virtual memory when working with it, then it 'borrows' from the HD instead...
hope i made sence? :?

1. Right click My Computer and press Properties
2. Select the Advanced tab

4. Select the the Advanced tab
5. Press the Change button under Virtual Memory
6. Select NO paging file and press the Set button and Yes, if prompted
7. Press OK, OK, and OK

I know this may be WAY off the mark, but have you dissabled your Windows instant messenger during game play? I had massive pop ups from all the Windows instant messanger service spamming, then I dissabled it and no more game interuptions. Took me awhile to figure it out because Popup stoper program would kill the pop up, but not until after my game would crash.

MSN Messenger messed up my gaming on the pc i normally use, but that was fixed after installing the latest gfx drivers... but i always turn messenger + other off when playing now, no interuptions, no lag and no unwanted processes running in the back... give me maybe 12 more frags per map
