is there a way to check what a player's model detail is set to?

its for sp. i just noticed how many models are in my intro cinematic (over 40 :shock: ) and i need to find a way to change the players model detail down temporarily.

no i dont jk.

setcvar r_lodscale x changes model detail on npcs and all kinds of other models such as tanks and jeeps.
setcvar r_lodviewmodelcap x changes the model detail on your fps gun. (doesnt change the hands though).
and setcvar r_lodcap i havnte tried it, and probably dont need it...

its on a scale from 0 to 1.1 i believe. setting the model detail to lowest in the advanced menu sets the r_lodscale to 0.25, but you can go even lower by typing in values manually. i typed in 0 and the models were HORRIFICLY (if thats a word) low-poly! they were lower polied than the half-life models for example.;
