Historical research

Post by trav1s »

I was just wondering if anyone knows any good sites for research about particular battles during ww2, that contain diagrams, street maps, photos ect...anything thats useful for maps based on actual places. I'm currently working on a Haguenau map, and just want some layout information to check.

Philip II of Macedon sent a message to Sparta:
"If I win this war, you will be slaves forever."
The Spartan ephors sent back a one word reply: "If".

If you're into specific battles, you should check out some books, im sure there's tons of them out there onthe shelves collecting dust...
Books sometimes have more info and pictures (larger at least) the you'll find on the internet. Othervise do what Jack Ruby said,
