OH NO !!!! Compiling problem !!!

AHHHH !!! :( This is the first time i have ever had a problem with compiling. Anyway i added a bunch more to my map. Then i saved it. I went to compile it and play and in the game everything i added is missing. :shock: So i went oh my god did i forget to save? So i went into radient loaded my map and everything i added was there. So i kept trying and the stuff that i added wont show up in the game. These are just basic textures already in the game. So i have no idea whats going on. But its all there in radient. Just not in the game. So i thought maybe there is something wrong with the texture so i should beable to walk on the caulk still....nope its as if it was never there. Its really weird ive tried so many different things. If i could get any help on this i would be so greatful, because im almost done with this map :cry: :cry: :cry:

ok i think i know what happened but still i need help

Ok i see what happened. My mbuilder is not building a vis or bsp file for my map its only making a lin file. What on earth is going on?? None of the directorys have been changed. :cry:

if im not mistaken, when a .lin file is produced from your compile, that means you have a leak in your map or something is out in the void (ex: like if you have a tree in a low part of your map, and you have the trunk going down through the ground... the bottom of the trunk might be poking out past the skybox and into the void)

:oops: :oops: Ok ive gone through and fixed the few lights that were "leaking". In the past ive had known leaks and it still compiled the bsp and vis files. So i really dont understand why im having a problem now. So what ive done is i copyed the code thats processed in mbuilder and im desperately hoping someone will be familiar with whats going on. Like i said ive never had a prob before with compiling a map. :cry:

:shock: :shock: :shock: Before it had a list of all these lights that had leaked. Like i said i fixed those. I see up there in the code that it says something about a filling leaked or something. I have no number or anything i dont know how or what to find that represents that. But i dont even know if thats even the problem. That thread was very useful !! Thank you jv_map that fixed the problem. It was a super long ladder i had. I also got the chance to read other errors too for future reference. Thanks !!! :D :D :D
