This isn't really scripting ! Basically you map cannot cannot exsist in an infinite space, because your computer can't render the entire map at a high speed, we need to split it up into leafgroups so that only certain parts are shown. Therefore your map has to be contained within a sealed area, if there's a hole in the very outside it'll leak into the void.

Picture this, a submergerd submarine has to be totally sealed from the water outside, if theres a hole in the outer hull it'll spring a leak. So the water is the void, and inside the submarine is your map.

In order to find the holes, load your map into radiant, and select File -> Pointfile , you should see a red line, follow it from one end to theother and it should show you where the hole is.

Skybox

Post by tltrude »

Your "world" should be contained in a skybox (six walls with sky texture) or it could be just a six sided room. If these walls don't fit together right, you will have gaps to the outside. The "pointfile" line starts on the inside, goes through the gap, and ends outside. Find the gap and close it.

Here is a picture that shows a skybox:

Scale

Post by tltrude »

It makes no difference to the compiler if it "fits" the face or not--I do it because it is easier on the eyes while working in the editor. If you look closely, you will see the bottom of my skybox is a caulk brush, and the side walls are caulk brushes below the terrain. I do it that way because that is how 2015 did it in map m4l0--the sample map in the docs folder of MOHTools.

Thick?

I think you are looking at the tunnels. The view is from below the LOD terrain.
