Fake roads?
Why did the mohaa mappers make the roads that you didnt walk over nonsolid? For example, play m1l1, and then noclip to the beginning, and you fall thru the road.

I don't think they non-solid for a particular reason. Its likely they're made from patch meshes, and we all know how MoH isn't very good at clipping, but if the player never has to walk on those surfaces it would be a waste of time clipping them. Also fps would be slightly improved on slower systems because of fewer calculations.

Patch mesh may behave erratically and leave "holes" you can fall through when the face count is greater than your graphics detail settings will allow; there is a bug in the way it culls. It has nothing to do with EA or Radiant, it's a know bug in the engine, just like the way it leaks light. Most veteran mappers will use clip brushes to prevent you from falling through, just as a precaution.
There are also a number of road textures with non-solid surface properties. I think they have bad shaders. There are hundreds of unused, untested textures that were included. But, that's the nature of any game.
