Winzip

If you change ".pk3" to ".zip", You can "unzip" it with Winzip. Turn off "Auto install screensavers" in Winzip options first.

I set ut the pk3 filetype to be handled by WinZip as default in windows. Really time saving as I dig in these little buggers a lot. :)

So did I, but you still have to turn off the screensaver option because Winzip sees the Mohaa script files as Windows screensaver files (both end with ".scr").

You can also use winrar to view the pk3's . Set the external viewer to notepad and set the option to use the external viewer . You can double click a file change it save it and when you close it winrar will ask you if you want to update it in the archive with the changes . Click yes and its done . One thing I have found though is if mohradiant is open it won't work the file wont update , strange and a good way to loose your changes and have to do it all over again . An other thing you can do with it is open the pak to the directory you want such as maps/dm then drag the file from windows into the winrar window and let it go it will add it to the pak nice and easy . You can also drag files from the winrar window onto the desktop .
