Hi guys.
The stragest thing is happening.
In my map, all the doors were created the same way. One was not opening both sides, so I came to this forum and read the alwaysaway/1 thing.
- I put it in, didn't work.
- I deleted the door and recreated it, didn't work.
- copied another door (and rotated it) that worked, didn't work.
The only thing that differenciate this door from the other is that it is the only onle in that angle... All other are perpendicular to it.
Can anyone give me a suggestion on how to go about my problem please.
Best regards.

angle
You should never "clone" a function door because it will cause "leaking" errors. It is better to make a prefab and use that. To set the angle, just highlight the door and hit key N. You will see a bunch of buttons for the angle. Always set the angle to one of the directions a player will face to open the door (looking from the top view in 2D).
Here is a tutorial map the has 34 doors in it:

Alwaysaway 1 is default and need not be set. But, it does not work if the angle is not set right to begin with.

Thanks for the reply I will check that.
But I would like to know why I didn't set an angle on any door and they all work (but this one)...
Now, I can set only one angle, but what is players come in from both sides?
Hum... I will dip my face in that link you gave me. Maybe I get my answer there.
Regards.

Axis
Doors that face the X axis will work without any angle set, but it is a good practice to set the angle anyway. In this screenshot, the two doors at the bottom worked fine, but the two upper ones were bad (open in your face). The two off to the right had no angle set and worked fine, but they are facing the X axis and have a default angle of 0 (360).

All these doors open in two directions--because "alwaysaway 1" is default. If you want the door to open in only one direction, the angle you have set, give it Key: alwaysaway and Value: 0.
If the door texture is metal, set Key: doortype and Value: metal. That will enable the metal door sounds for it.
Hope that helps!
