compiling surprise

Post by {R.E.D}**Duke Justice** »

Hi yall...

I recently added lights on my map instead of ambientlight to see what it would look like finished...

It took long to compile and I am proud of my map.

Since it took time, I removed them because I have lotso work left.

My question is this:

After removing them... Why does it take so long to compile? (calc radiosity visibility)

Regards

Did you only remove the lamp model and not the actual Light Entity, if the lights are still there then its going to take longer to compile, the lights look like diamond shaped things, have a look around for them.
Philip II of Macedon sent a message to Sparta:
"If I win this war, you will be slaves forever."
The Spartan ephors sent back a one word reply: "If".

If you want a really fast compile, and don't care about light, just skip the light compile. Only do the BSP and VIS compile and then close the window. It will look ugly and have no shadows.
