You will get a MAP file by using Scorpios BSP viewer, but remember the program was mainly made for "viewing" the BSP and not creating map files. When a map file is compiled into a BSP it looses the information about brushes. During compile it instead calculates "faces" (brush sides), and in that process a number of faces are removed.
Scorpios (and any other BSP-Map for mohaa) tool will create a map file where a brush is created for each face (since that is the only information available in the BSP). That meens that a regular brush with six side after compilation are stored in the BSP as six faces. Recreating the map will give you six brushes instead of the original one. Also all faces that where removed during compile can't be recreated. Many of the brushes will also behave strange in Mohradiant but mostly it can be fixed by aligning them to the grid.
If you decompile Algiers then you will have A LOT OF WORK turning it back into a playable level.

To add things you will need to script them in, you need to know the co-ordinates of where you want the models placed.
There may be some tips if you hunt through the scripting forum.

Philip II of Macedon sent a message to Sparta:
"If I win this war, you will be slaves forever."
The Spartan ephors sent back a one word reply: "If".
