Textures - fitting them on wierd shapes

Post by Guest »

So, what is a good and easy way to fix the fitting of textures on odd shaped brushes? I keep getting very odd (not to mention it looks like crap). So, any good tricks out there?

Key S

If you hit key S with the brush (or one face of it) highlighted, the surface inspector window will pop up. With it you can rotate, scale, and shift the texture. Ctrl F is also handy for making textures "fit to the face". To highlight just one face at a time, hold Ctrl and Shift then click on a face in the 3D window.
