Does anyone know where the bark for the palm tree(in algiers) is, I checked the algiers textures, but couldn't find them.

If you know, I would like to also.

i believe the tree is a model so the texture is probably not available in the normal textures list. try adding that tree as a model then look in your texture view to see if it is there. i know u can see the parts of other models after adding them, like the flakk88. u may have to modify a copy of it to get it to work. that means making your own pk3 with your modified texture.

open the .tik file in notepad, for the model, read which shader it refers to ( or guess ), and open that shader file into notepad, the texture names are there somewhere.

try looking in the scipts/trees.shader file under static_palmregtrunk

or something similar

and the texture is located in

textures/models/natural/palmregtrunk.tga

It will also help to see all textures available if you go to your mohradiant options and place a checkmark on 'show nonshader textures' By default this is unchecked and there are a lot of nonshader textures available for use.
