stupid truck

Post by Guitarfan »

I want a truck in my map (just standing still) so I choose vehicles -> german -> opeltruck. this model isn't solid so I use a bunch of clips (glass for the windows, wood for the back etc.) but if I compile my map and play my truck was in the air about 128 units higher than in radiant. then I moved the truck in radiant (put it to the left) and then compiled and it stayed on his place. then I moved the truck back in radiant (so it was in the clips again) and then it again was higher ingame.
does anyone know how this comes, cause it's really anoying :S

It will. Make sure you place/angle it the right way you want it in radiant, it doesn't do it automatically ingame like normal vehicles do.

Did you try to spin it or change the angle in the entity window? Spinning a model with the spin function is ill advised.

Try it again hit n and use the angle keys.

Hope this helps.

I changed it to a static model and it helps. thanks
I used the non static cause the static doesn't have a destroyed version, but I guess I'm gonna use the non static version also for the destroyed one (hope that works, didn't try it yet) but thanks for the help

If you want a destroyed version, you can just make a script_model with the .tik of the destroyed truck.
