Noob Question: Loading Screen

I have No idea what Ive done wrong this time. the Shader and the .urc are in the correct spots. The .tga is also in correct spot. Ive made maps before, so i dont know why this certian one isnt working?

Big Head if i asked everyone what was wrong with me all the time without giving some sort of example other than it doesnt work i would get some strange and uneasy responces. :wink:

Maybe if you could be more specific. Are you not seeing the picture, are you not seeing the loading bar, are you not seeing the sephia overlay with wrinkel back ground???

What exactly is the problem??

PS try the search function bud i know i have seen this topic brought up 3 times in my short tenure and there is a nifty tut to follow was well HERE.

Okay, to put it better, heres what I did

Made the Maps Folder, With everything Inside named the same
Then made the Scripts folder with the shader named the same as the map
and edited it inside too
Copied the Same Picture ive used in Other Maps before and put it inside loading
Then inside Ui, I made the Loading_Mapname.urc

Everything is named the same, and edited, Just dont know why it isnt working and cant figure it out.

I dont see The Loading Bar-Just the Loading Word.
I dont see the Picture or anything, Its just like i selected it from maplist, Wich i didnt.

ok so you are getting nothing what so ever just the stock dude holding a mg with the flashing loading pic.

This tells me that you dont have anything there for a custome screen. Common errors that cause this: incorrect spelling, bad paths, incorrect file names.

There are a ton of reasons for this but i would double check all the little things also maybe show us a copy of what you are workin with so that we can see. Its hard to help if i dont know whats going on.

check if there's a .min file in your maps\dm directory.

It sounds like an incorrect alpha channel (for the tga). See if this line is in your shader: 'blendfunc gl_one_minus_src_alpha gl_src_alpha' and try removing it. Perhaps you can post your .shader and .urc so we can take a look at it?

Lol, Know what i just noticed: There isnt a Min file for the map. This is weird cuase there also wasnt a .pth until a little while ago. Any suggestions?

Yeah first posting 3 times in a row isnt really nessicary.
Second is this not the same map you cant seem to run either? So what is happening is you try to load but there is no loading screen then nothing and you are stairing at your desktop?

First things first lets try to get the map running then lets worry about the loading screen. What do you think?

Now about the map not loading it appears that you moved everything to your desktop not bad if all the pathways are set correctly. Maybe double check to see if that is not the problem.

Second you are experiencing an error:

THis is bad... very bad that number is over 3 times what it should be. A quick solution would be using detail brushes. Better planning would also help, less posting and more reading tuts. :wink:

Do a search in regards to this error and see what else can be done about it.

2 things, no this isnt the same map with the compile problem, i have 3 maps going at once, im about to release one, just the loading screen is getten me p-ed. Anyway, I dunno whjats going on with the bsp.

Ok with the bsp thing re read the post again i explained what the problem is.

You guys seem to be doing things the hard way. I will show you something that will make your life easier.
This is not my work, but it WILL help you create what you want.
I used this and I created perfect loading screenies, i did not need any image shaders or other things of that sort.

READ THE TUTORIALS, AND THEN OPEN the URC folder and open the Loading screen for one of the MP maps. And change it to your own style.
