Removing static object

Post by Bouncer »

In the Spearhead SP map t1l3 there is barbwire located in the street, as seen in the pic below. What I am trying to do is remove it. I have removed all of the AI in the map but in order for this to work properly...I need to remove that barbwire. I have loaded the map in the bsp viewer and cannot find any origin settings at all on this. Its listed under static but there is only a single numeric digit when I expand it. All I really want to do with it is use the parameters notsolid and hide so I can walk through it and cannot see it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Also, I apologize if this is in the wrong place but thought you guys that map might be able to help on this one.

I was able to get it out by hexing it, but for some reason when I joined the server...it didnt like it to well. It gave me a checksum error client/server. :(

I even took it that far. I have that de-compiler. I never haven even loaded a map in Radiant and tried this one just to get some coordinates from it or some sort of reference. This also has hurt_triggers in front of it, but its listed. When I was going through Radiant, for the first time, lol I saw where the barbwire is located but didnt even see the barbwire or any reference to it. Any additional info you might have on how to go about this? Thank!

Hmm,

Philip II of Macedon sent a message to Sparta:
"If I win this war, you will be slaves forever."
The Spartan ephors sent back a one word reply: "If".

To be honest with you, I am pretty much lost on this one. I dont really map, I was just making a mod out of another stock map. I cannot find a reference for on the barbwire other than I know its just there. What I can tell you is that if you were looking at scorpio's BSP viewer....underneath the entities is the static tiks.........its listed there but nowhere above. The thing is though...when I go to expand the tik file ....there is just a single numeric value, but I have no clue what it means. See, if I can recreate a reference with its exact values then I can add on to it or take away values. In this case I want to take away by adding notsolid and hide to it...or even delete/remove if I could.

Also, I have another question. Is it possible to remove/delete all triggers in a map with an expression or command rather than doing each trigger individualy?

Spawn a ramp over it, or some boxes, or an upside down tank, or a car, or a crashed plane--well, you get the idea.

Thats what I was thinking I was going to have to do. The only problem with that map is that all the fencing in front of the houses really have a much larger wall than it appears. Well I guess I want to make it look as clean as possible. I have spawned many items in the past but nothing quite like a ramp. Would you happen to know a few objects that would work well? Only thing I could think of is crate lids but they are small kind of. Any ideas? Thanks!
