Where's the STG?

Post by BirdsofaFeather »

ok maybe I'm stupid, but I just can't seem to find the axis STG (usable player weapon). I see the mp40, and something called the mp44 that is all blue all over, but no STG. Am I blind? Thanks in advance.

The Stg 44 is an assault rifle, the heavy one when you play as axis. What your after is the MG 42, the big machine gun, heres a tute....

There should be one of these on the update to this site, I will write one if you guys want.
Philip II of Macedon sent a message to Sparta:
"If I win this war, you will be slaves forever."
The Spartan ephors sent back a one word reply: "If".

Wait, so the mg42 is actually the multiplayer axis mg? If I put it in, will it act as a playerweapon?

Just to be clear, I know how to make an mg42 on a stand that people can shoot with. I'm looking for the actual object of a multiplayer axis mg that people can pick up and use.

Thanks btw.

Well the MG42 is the stationed machine gun. They use it and can only stay in once place and shoot.

I think you're looking for the STG44 like on gunracks, no? THe STG44 is also known as the MP44 too :D

oh, well I found the mp44, but when I put it in radiant it looked just like the mp40, but was the color blue all over, so I thought it was some kind of glitch. I haven't tried it in game though, I'll post again if I have any problems with that.

If its coming up all blue as in the blue and black tiled box no texture thingy i guarentee you are gonna be back.

1.) Spearhead???

or

2.) Make sure all of your pk3's are where they are supposed to be (all blue like you said means it cant find the correct textures and or shaders to make it look right.

Just out of curiosity what other custom pk3 files do you have in your main folder?

I don't have Spearhead.

AND

I always take out all my custom pk3's before I start mapping, and put them in a different folder. All the pak pk3's are definitly in their proper place also. So that's why I suspected a glitch of some kind when the mp44 showed up all blue all over.

As far as I know the fact that my other custom maps once were in there shouldn't affect anything in radiant, cause that just wouldn't make sense.
