I know i know, just thought it would be of interest after what sumo said. Maybe i should have posted it in off topic like you said, sorry :oops:

The maps looking good :)

Now my spin on the gore factor, Zip it wasnt bs that you posted, it was apparantly the two sick kids excuse to try to attempt to get out of the trouble they are in.

They were 16 and 14, I knew that I shouldnt shoot people from I guess about the age of seven, I hope those little B*^tards get fried.

Though when I was about 13-14 we decided to throw stones at the buses as they went really fast down a big hill by my house, but as fate has a great hand we stoned a bus, one of the guys with me his mum was on that bus and saw us :), obviously we got in deep $*it, but maybe god had some plan for us not to cause too much damage before we were caught. We knew we were doing wrong exactly the same as those kids with the rifle did, luckily we didnt cause anyone to die, so those kids should be fried. They had full knowledge of what they were doing.

I am happy to play with as much gore or as little gore as the game supplies, its a game, its not real so the blood means nothing to me.

I WAS THE KING OF MORTAL KOMBAT ! No one could even come close and I used to love ripping people hearts out with Kano :)

My room mate played Kombat with me every night for I guess 4-5 months, and I think I let him win maybe twice, I must have annoyed him so much :)

So in conclusion, gore is good, no gore is good, I liked Mario Bros 2 as much as Kombat so it all evens out in the end.

Games dont provoke idiots to do wrong to others, they have only themselves to blame, its not even their parents fault, my parents are Angels yet I still stoned a bus, it was nothing to do with my parents or how they raised me, I just decided to be bad for a night :)

Keep up the good work Cobra.

edit: and at the time when I stoned the bus the most violent game I had played was space invaders or scramble, so it wasnt the games that twisted me :)
Philip II of Macedon sent a message to Sparta:
"If I win this war, you will be slaves forever."
The Spartan ephors sent back a one word reply: "If".

I changed it quite a bit. Amazing what a good sky can do for a map.

Well Yarik I don't use terra sky like a lot of people do. I converted a ton of skys from SOF and even got some from the WADFATHER site that has a ton of skys from other games.

I just take a sky with the 6 images the blahblah_ft and blahblah_rt etc
Make sure they are 512x512 .jpg images.

Then put them in a folder and name it then put that folder in another folder called textures.
Take one of the images for your sky and make it a 64x64 jpg image. This will be the image u will see in mohradiant to choose from once you load the folder you put it in the textures drop down menu in the editor.
Put this in a different folder and put it in textures also. You should have two folders in textures now. One has all of the 6 images of your sky named in this fashion and respectively to their correct side abbr.

Here is my example
All of my 6 images have the word sunrise with a undrescore then their correct side abbrv as so:
sunrise_up
sunrise_dn
sunrise_lf
sunrise_rt
sunrise_ft
sunrise_bk

Notice in the following sshader how in the green sunrise --

This is to tell the computer to look for the image in textures/sunrise/sunrise--

sunrise being the folder that has all six images and at the end sunrise is the first word in the names of all six images followed by an underscore then their respctive side names as show above. writing sunrise -- in that line, the "--" tells the program to look for each side of the skybox and place them in their correct places on the skybox.

For this shader my two folders are named sunrisesky and sunrise. sunrisesky has my little 64X64 jpg image for the editor in it while the sunrise folder has all 6 of my images in it.

The bit at the bottem is for scrolling clouds already found in the game. Talon clouds are a nice effect and u should use them when ever possible to add a nice scrolling cloud effect. Change the scroll numbers to change the speed. Not too much.

Anyway put that shader in a folder called scripts name it blahblahitdoesn'tmatter.shader
Make sure you dont save it as a txt file but save it under all files other wise its not a functioning shader.

Take the scripts folder with your shader and the textures folder with your two folders in it and drop in into a new file in packscape. When you go to the editor, the folder you put your little 64x64 image in with bee the one to load from the textures drop down menu.

//custom sky shader Gen Cobra Sunrise
textures/sunrisesky/sunrise_sky
{
qer_keyword m0g
qer_keyword sky
surfaceparm nolightmap
surfaceparm noimpact
surfaceparm sky
skyParms textures/sunrise/sunrise - -
{
map textures/sky/talonclouds.tga
blendFunc add
tcMod scroll .005 .003
tcMod scale 3 2
}
}

Im near completion but still have a lot to finish. I need to finish the axis bunker tunnels and finish constructing the rest of the feilds. Most of the scripting and programming is complete and is the most difficult part. Ill be back with more shots and a download link when its finished.
