MoHAA Goes Melee Style / Proning

I got two questions, one of them I know that it can be done, one of them I am not sure. I hope you guys will give me answer on both.

Melee:
How can you script so that you can let a weapon which doesn't have a secundairy option (like smg, mg etc.) melee... in other words... bash?

Prone:
How can you script so that you can let a player prone if he presses some specified button? Is it also possible to add an option in the control menu called Prone so people can select their own button?

And some other things too:

First Person Spectator:
How can you script so that if you follow a player in spectator (when you get killed or in the real spectator mode) You can switch between 3rd person and 1st preson?

Multiple Cursors:
Is there a way to make a menu in mohaa where you can change your cursor design?

Ah that's why nobody is replying =)

Ohw well I want all these items and I want to give full credits for whoever find a way to do those things, for my upcomming add-on(mod) MoH Reloaded, if you want to be in the team feel free to contact me on msn (snake@insomniaclan.com) we now have a basic site at www.MohReloaded.tk but it will be intergrated on the website of our gamehost sponsor GameServers.net under the domain www.MohReloaded.com later this week. Anyways....

I got a few idea's how to realize the items below, as long as it's in Spearhead it's possible in mohaa as well.

Melee:
Can't we look at how the Pistol bashes and then take that animation for the smg? Should work right?

Prone:
Allready done in Moh Pacific and City Nights Final so it is possible anyone got the code?

First Person Spectator:
If in spectator change the camera view to the position of 1st person. Shouldn't be that hard as well. And as I have been told this was in a mod as well.

Multiple Cursors:
I have no idea how, but I saw a 'cheat' menu do this once... Couldn't find it anymore.

They are, but the mohaa scripting language isn't when it comes to multiplayer scripting. Things you can do in fact are very limited.

Yeh, seems that theirs more you can do with scripting in SP , i just managed to make destroyed village into a obj called 'Steal The Deadguys Wallet' lol .. its a dead body at the top of the tower, And the allies have to try and steal his wallet within 3 min :lol: very fun..

That's crap, maybe Wacko and those other pro modders =) Can take a look at it, and I am sorry to doubt you jv_map but I think you might be wrong about the options I mentioned...

I think it is possible...

Just need to find out how... uhm if nobody else is going to help me, I will have to do it myself =( But I will let you hear as soon as I find out how...

Remember, not a long time ago many people said it was impossible to make a working auto aim for multiplayer yet they have all been proven wrong...

Well I'll give you some more details then :)

Melee:
Possible, you have to change the weapon TIKIs by adding a secondary fire mode. This may have to be changed client-side as well. Furthermore you need to alter global/mike_torso.st, since you have to add new bash states for all weapons. This can be done fully server-side.

Prone:
More or less possible, simply overwrite the models/player/base/ files to use proning animations instead of crouching animations. You can also add a new prone state in global/mike_legs.st, but this is significantly more difficult. Either way requires a client download and is very, very far from bug-proof (i.e. you can hide under the terrain, prone-up stairs etc).

First Person Spectate:
I heard it can be done by modifying a game dll file to use a different camera distance, so that it seems you're using a 1st person view. I think it requires a client download as well. I also think anti-cheat scanners won't like it ;)

Multiple Cursors:
No idea really :?

Multiple cursors can be added by making new urc files and using the showmenu command. Thats pretty easy too. And also requires a client download.

yea I know but the thing that makes me look like this :shock:
is that if you want to change you cursor you can use some kind of .tga which you put in a pk3 and you will have a custom cursor...
but how can you make more cursors...
like
cursor1.tga
cursor2.tga

how can you let mohaa take the cursor you selected?

I've been trying to add a melee feature to MOHAA (unsuccessfully) but maybe this'll help. I found this in the bar.tik for SH
