my first model
just a basic sniper rifle, top pic is the real weapon ( as if you couldnt tell )

Random I just read your last post on the black skins, sorry you had a meltdown.
Well I also need some help getting models into 3ds, I got lightray which will open .skd's, so I checkout the springfield from the game, looks all pretty straightforward. Now heres the problem, unregistered lightray wont export and skd to 3ds
so if anyone knows another way please let me know and dont tell me milkshape cos I got that and thats not registered either so wont let me save, however I really shouldnt need them as I have access to 3ds.
I saved the above rifle as an skd from 3ds and the result looked something like a brick, but after looking at the orginal springfield I can see my rifle meshes were way too complex. I have been hunting for a tute, I can get to grips with the modelling, I would like to know how complex to make them, how to carry the skins over to mohaa, UVW Map ? and also which files I need exactly, tiki's, shaders, file structure and such.
Anyone know where to find this info then let me know please.

nice attempt man ..... i might have a few tut links some where on how to uv map .... some are easy most are confusing if u dont have patience
