Hello agian all. have a couple of questions.Any help would be great.
1. how exactly do I make doors. I mean do I have to make a brush for it and then give it some sort of scipt or something..
2. How do I exactly make windows. I mean the ones that you can see out of and shoot out.
3. I wanted to know if it is possible to make a hidden to. Like maybe making a door(once I know how) and giving it the same texture as the wall its on. Or maybe if its possible to make a doorway with out a door and then filling it with a brush so that in the game it looks like a wall but in reality its not. (would be able to walk through it.) Reason for is I am making a map and I wanted to add some underground tunnels that go to all the biuldings with hidden doors or doorways in them.
4. Ok here is the big one. In all the tutorls(soory about the spelling) there is always a room. I undeR STAND that there needs to be a sealed box from the void(think I got that right...read in some documents), But what I really need to know is how do I make it look like a good looking back ground and sky with out the squared in box look.
5. How the heck do I make trees and bush's.

erm... i can answer ALL of those questions... (maybe not in the same order though)

doors: make a brush and make it as thin as you want it dont really matter or as tall ect... and then type utililty into the keyword box and find origin when the utilities load... now make a brush that is the same thickness of the door.. and make it go to the top and buttom of the door... Note: make the origin brush with the door you will get the Z fighting thing going when you do it correctly

Now that you have placed the origin brush on the left (or right) side of the door (the origin brush Must be flush with the door and the wall inwhich it is connected to from roof to floor or the height of the door, same thing...)right click while the origin brush and the door are selected and go to func and then go to rotating door... if you do this without the origin brush the door will spin on its center...

NOW for windows... Make a window brush (duurrr) and right click (while it is selected) and go to func then to window and if you want the window to break easily hit the 'N' key while its selected and type health in the first box and 10 (or how much health you want it to have) in the second box...

now to hiddin doors... just do the same thing you done with the door that i told you about up there... just give it the same texture as the wall surrounding it... or any texture if you want

But for doors you can walk through... or walls that you can walk through... i know its possible it requires a small amount of scripting but i dont know any scripting AT ALL i recommend going through the forums because i seen the same question on how to make non solid walls...

A nice looking sky... when you make a sky brush you will notice that it is made of little squares repeating them selves over and over again throughout the brush... THIS IS WHAT YOU WANT!!! when you compile these little squares of sky turn into a moving nice looking sky some skies have clouds that tend to float around... if you fit the sky texture to the brush it becomes a solid when you compile it and you will see dust and stuff fly when you shoot it.. you dont what that!! and go to the tutorials on how to make a sun... its simple

and for the most rediculous question i have yet seen... 'how the heck do i make trees and bushes'

Right click (on 2d view...) and go to static>natural>bushes (or trees)
and select a bush or tree from there... simple right? (thhis is where you nod your head up and down and fork over some nice maps because i told you enough information to make 5 tutorials)
