I made this rifle this afternoon. Just learning UVW mapping, its not perfect but not bad at all. I made some basic bones before but never for a gun, I have to learn how mohaa bones work, I hope they are not too confusing. I still have so much to learn about the whole modelling thing
The top pic is the photo, bottom is my model

"If I win this war, you will be slaves forever."
The Spartan ephors sent back a one word reply: "If".
It looks awesome.
Where'd you learn to UVW map? (I need to learn that)
Many that die deserve life, and many who live deserve death.
Can you give it to them?
Then do not be so eager to deal out death in the name of justice, fearing for your own safety.
It was a little confusing and I only needed a fraction of what he explains to skin the rifle, so dont be scared when you first see the tute, you wont need all the crap he talks about.

Lookin good bud. But i have noticed there are tons of weapons modelers out there. With your skillz maybe you could come up with other things to enhance gameplay. Cars, buses, ah heck i dont know anything you can think of i guess. new desks lamps, you see where i am going with this. Not all of them will have bones since they will more than likely be static, or maybe they will i dont have too much experience with modeling yet. But it would be nice to have more options to place into maps for models.
But the gun is very nice lookin so i dont think you will fail at anything you try.
Thats a great idea Random, boning the gun ( sounds kind sexual doesn't it ) seems a step to far for me right now but static models, I hadnt even thought about that.
Static models I CAN DO
I am kinda busy with real work right now but I would be happy to make something people might use in their maps.
Any requests ?
