I jst started mapping. I worked with it a little bit and then undertook a project. I made a big maze with a few towers and such. This was a big thing for me. Took about a week. I got it all done added textures and abient light....(thanx to nemesis's tutorial!) then compiled and tested. BIG PROBLEM. my ladders look VERY weird...like all yellow and grey...some textures really messed up. and when i'm walkin around there will be random greay and yellow splotches all over and makin thngs disappear.
i want to know what i did wrong and how to fix it. i will post screenies as soon as i get them on this comp.

Thanx ppl.

rails

If you make the rails wider than the rungs, the problem will go away. That will also happen to long balcony rails, or any long brush with a lot of (same size) posts touching it.

If it looks like that, you have to cut your ladder in pieces, so make the side railings shorter (same problem I had)

Whoa nelly! Change the pic size or make a link. I don't mind but it messes up the frames and takes eons for people like me with 56k.

Glad you got er fixed.
