Bot news!

Post by jv_map »

Finally I'm bringing you some bot fun again.

Here's a very early version of bots v2.0 for you to check out:
http://home.student.utwente.nl/a.b.vrij ... _alpha.pk3

Simply put this file in main and run a TDM in Stalingrad (dm/mohdm6)

There is a lot that still has to be done so it is by no means a near-finished version. The bots don't really run around yet but do attack each other (and players).

Enjoy!

LAG

Post by tltrude »

It laged very badly for me and it got worse the longer game went on. The messages on the side said, "pop-out failed!" and "contact lost" a lot. I also saw white lines near the bot spawn spots, but they may be some test thing you put in. I saw the pink lines too and I hope they are only for testing.

Hope that helps!

Yup the white lines are for debugging and may be a reason for you lag, not sure though. What kind of cpu have you got?

The 'contact lost' is not an error message, 'pop-out failed :(' is... to some extent.

I'll look into the lagging issues :)

Jv your bots are deadly, its like they have wall hacks, or a sixth sense.

Oh and it would be better if they ran around.
So I guess you did a very good job.

BTW make sure to make a tut for this k? Thanks.
