Well, i completely understand that you - as moderator - want to keep the .map forums as clean as possible from any flaming and thread abuse.

However i think that - when maintaining that policy - an earlier warning to whom adresses this critisicm (Gen Cobra) should be in place.

Honestly, I have not seen anyone on this forum site that is so repulsed and close-minded about taking a little critical input even in it's best constructive form

When a forum member reacts the way he (GC) does - and meanwhile abusing the forum to post each brush he made as a screenshot with a 29 inch coloured lettertype to stress his announcement - one can expect that there will be a moment that it escalates the way it does now.

I think we can better close this thread. The opinions are clear, both in a mapping-technical and a attitude way.

Yep this topic will stay open for GC to reply if he wants. What's being thrown at him is quite serious so I think he really needs the opportunity to add / correct things where needed.

I don't want to be like a police officer here but I kindly ask everyone from now on to please not 'bash' other users. Critisism is very good as it is the single most important factor that makes mappers get better over time. However please focus the critisism at the map (like most of you have done) rather than at the person. It goes without saying that this applies to anyone including GC himself.

Concludingly: please stay on the topic and maybe cool down a little. Any more input on this thread is very welcome but any kind of 'ill-treatment' of users may result in me sending you a tiny little e-mail

This is a riot.
I come here to show my new work. I guess I am in the wrong place. For some time now I thought a lot of people here were my friends. I'm not flaming anyone here. If I did, you all would clearly know. I kinda wonder what makes people like Slyk write a full page review of a mod I just gave to the public for the fun of it. I'm an amateur mapper.
I'm not gonna write how I feel here. Honestly you people should be ashamed of yourselves for even writing junk like that in a thread about a free mod for a videogame.

Seriously general, feedback is meant to show you what people like and dislike of your work. You can use it to improve your future work if you want. It is not for complaining nor is it used for this purpose. I am absolutely certain Slyk had valid points there and wasn't having a go at your maps.

Also I find people posting in this thread showing much more respect to you then you to them.... I really think you're having an attitude problem
