GEN COBRA says Good Bye

Post by Gen Cobra »

Well over a year has gone by since I first started mapping for this game. I have created about 30 maps. From the first to the last a major transition can be seen. From my biggest blunders to my greatest success. I'm hailed across the community as a giver, someone that always gave everyting and I never once asked for anything in return.

I want to say to any new mapper/modder out there that what ever you imagine, what ever you dream up, can be a possibility. It only takes patience and a modivation to strive for that goal.

If I ever give any advice it would be this. HAVE FUN. Stop trying to make things perfect because there is no such thing. AS soon as you take a videogame serious you have already defeated the purpose of creating an environment to have fun in.

In the end I am confident that my last map Stalingrad is the best I can do. I hope you all get the chance to experience what I beleive to be the best sniping map for medal of honor.

Good-Bye and God Bless you all.

Hey Cobra,

Im sad to see you go. You have done great things for the MOH:AA community. I hope you can find the time to pop in every now and then, you know you got friends around this places. Thanks for all your time spent here at .MAP, and enjoy your teaching job (teaching rocks!).

And finally, thanx for this typo:

Good luck in the future Cobra. Hopefully we'll see you around here and there......and let us know when you come out of retirement (the school year ends in June, right? --it's been so long I don't remember anymore!--)

Thanks for all the great maps!

One thing for you to keep in mind: The MoH community will be here when you return!

BTW...try to stay warm. I know those Maine winters can be harsh. (You can always drop by here on a snow day!) Once again, good luck, and enjoy.

I already replied on TMT, but hey What the hell?

Glad to hear you are moving on man. Where are you going to be teaching? Make sure to upload pics of your class. Anyway, you have definitly improved from your first map to your last map. Have you ever though about joining EA? Or Infinity Ward? Or another gaming company? You have a great portfolio. And I will be glad to give ya a letter of recommendation :D :D :D

I might just hit you up on that. I teach art and by the way I just taught a class in modding videogames for our computer science dept. It was recorded to video. I'll get some pics of my class and post them here.
