a skybox shaped like a sphere won't look different to a box like one ingame, as long as u use a sky texture for it's (inner) faces. But give it a try urself and u'll see :wink:

Well, the inside face of the skybox is not outside the skybox...
Not sure it wont compile just because its outside however... but you'll get a leak I guess,

You could, but it would look the same... take a look at the sky in any map: it does not look like a box. And also, there is no need for the skybox to actually be a box.

ahh, iw as messin around w/ the picmip and stuff so mine really does look like a box kinda lol. ill turn it back to one, it didnt help my fps anyway.

You know really sky caulk was really intended for night maps....it works great with very dark foggy maps and also dark rain or snow maps....
