Another Simple Question

Hi,

I am making a map but when ever i follow the skybox tutorial on this site, all i see is blackness where the sky should be..

Please help, this is important...

Not all the sky textures work, try "mohday2". Don't use skycaulk or caulk, just use mohday2 on all sides of the brushes.

You have to turn the sun on by higlighting one of the skybox brushes and hitting key N. Then type:

Key: suncolor
Value: 70 70 70

U mean all this time I've been using caulk on the skybox, D'oh! :oops:

it doesnt matter, nothing compiles outside the skybox, u could use dirt, wouldnt change anything.

Thanks for your input guys, learned something new their..

I'll try that texture and hopefully i wont get a black sky!

My sun used to work when i didnt highlight the skybox

my properties were key/value
suncolor/70 70 70
sundirection/-45 90 0
sunflarename/sun

These seemed to make a sun for me..

I also use ambientlighting...

u have to add those valuse in world spawn. the skty is part of world spawn so it makes sence to click it.
