The insane and very cool '.MAP Community map project'

not a bad idea,

but if you can't remove any buildings that are in it,
what happens the first time if some 1 fills the map wit buildings(a lot of buildings!).

i'll give a lash at it after i see how it gets on for the first while(hopefully).

Well willie, the basic idea is that everybody wants the best thing for the map... so you wont just fill teh map with buildings (unless its a city...).

And the "dont remove rule" is just a pointer. I mean, if I claim the map and put in a weeks work on building a beautiful house, and the next claimer just removes it, thats a bad thing... but yo can change exising stuff: moving the house to a better location, blow a hole in the wall of the house, add a floor, insert a plane in the roof, and so on....

Does that better expalin the "dont remove rule" ?
Maby it should be the "dont piss on other mappers hard work rule" instead?

Nah I think Tom has the maturity to take the lead on this one, he wont burn no-one I'm sure. Every good project needs a leader.

So we still have no-one? I can take it and put some tanks in it that would be a nice start. We just need a leader to say who's it is otherwise the project wont even start.

I guess I am that leader. And as I state in the rules: the first one to post "i claim the map" in this thread is the owner for a week. Read the Original post again lads

As for now: the map is laying dormant. So if you feel like grabbing it, grab it!
