Post by {UDT}OS3.Barney_Fife »

When I make my water I can walk on it and I dont really want that to happen. And another thing how do I make the water splash against the shore line for say like water around an island to give it a better affect. Oh and is there a way to make it so if your in the water to long you die or just die instant. Plz help if you can. :)

The brush should have water texture on the top and bottom faces, and have nodraw texture on all four sides. The bottom face should be below the bottom of the sea. If that doesn't fix it, try another water texture--some don't work.

For the wave effect, use one of the shoreline textures on a patch mesh. But for splashing (as on the rocks), you will need an fx or animated entity.

To kill players, it takes triggers and lines in your script.

You can also open the Surface Inspector with S with the brush and texture selected and tick the notsolid flag.

That could help with the "solid" water texture.
