Post by m4rine »

This is just a copy of my post in General Discussion - I thought this forum would be a better place for it, sorry if i got the wrong place.

Well, here it is. 7 months since I started working on my site. It could have been 5 months earlier (and a lower quality site, for I have spent those months doing other things such as learning PHP which has helped me add to my site e-mail forms, file uploading, and file submit forms).

Anyway, here it is, I hope you like it, and I hope some are willing to concentrate and make the site even better (see the Join page for more information). So, I offer file uploading, map hosting and even site hosting. But most of all I hope I offer something better - a great site. Any comments would be much appreiciated, also please drop by the forums!

site looks good mate, just looked at both door tuts and in my opion they are both wrong, sliding door tut, the author has the door sliding into a wall, now the textures will over lap and look crap, should explain you need to either cut out a track for the door to slide into or put the door inside or outside of the walls. Rotating door, the author has forgotten a few pointers, he does not explain the entity funcs the mapper needs to use, yes he does list them, but not tell them, i.e key:alwaysaway, value:1 and to set the correct angle so the door opens correctly i.e key:angle, value 90 etc. This is just my opion and not knocking you in away way, but to new mappers tuts need to be correct otherwise the poor mapper is left searching for the right answers.
