i hate the way the contestants on pop idol get an easy ride - some rock bands have played in undergrounds for years to get where they are now, and they play their own instruments, produce own music, write own songs, and are not manufactured RUBBISH!!!!

lol

SO TRUE!!!
The ppl in american idol, when they get scolded by the judges a little they start crying thier asses off..
True musicians dont do that... take Red Hot Chili Peppers, they went through SOO MUCH to get where they are now...

im with u, i luv the chilli peppers. but my favourite band has to be U2. for me their 28years of great music, with few if any poor quality stuff, and all their help for charities and stuff, in my view they have surpassed beatles a long time ago and maybe even have a claim on Elvis.

i also like others - im on the look out for new indie rock bands who i thnk should be given a chance - the real rock, not just the darkness (who i appreiciate r trying to be rock, but they dont take themselves seriously and they are taking the mick a bit), others like i just bought Snow Patrol's album, not bad for a debut, and it could have been a lot worse. The White Stripes, man, never heard anythin as differently good, bar maybe U2. They got big things coming, but i still prefer u2, chilip peppers. I also used to love ash - i still like them but not as much. i still have all their albums though.

and as for DuranDuran winning outstanding contribution to music at the brits - what crap! i realize they cant give it twice to people (U2 won it 13years ago!) but i dont think they should be forced to give it every year like they do. duran duran! sorry but 'outstanding contribution to music' alongside U2, Elvis, Beatles - im sorry but that is just wrong.

and from that u may guess that l am mad about music. its got somethin spiritual for me - and being young i still believe music can change a person, the world, or me.
