You need to change the angle of the door.

My fool proof technique for getting the right angle is to:

right click, go AI/Actor. Now you have a box that represents your player, hit N, then bottom left of the entity window you see a bunch of numbers, click on 90-180-270-360. You will notice that your ai/actor has a little arrow which shows the direction he is pointing, so make him point at your door, if you had to click on 90 to make him point at the door then select your door and origin brush and make them 90 too. Now delete your ai cos you dont need it anymore.

Bobs your uncle :) works everytime.
Philip II of Macedon sent a message to Sparta:
"If I win this war, you will be slaves forever."
The Spartan ephors sent back a one word reply: "If".

Umm you can also put in alwaysaway 1 in the key/value boxes, and the door will always open away from the player, but you will also need to put the right angle in too.

key:alwaysaway
value:1

no, that's wrong. alwaysaway/1 is already default, the only thing is the correct angle which must be set. here's a tut about it:

Thats a good one Jack, I'll have to remember that.
You can do it using north, south, east and west but I like your way. :o

You can also save all the doors you create as prefab. With the proper description in the title, it makes them fast and easy to load into the map.
works for me at least. Also when I save a door as prefab, I use N, S, E, and W for some of the description, that way I know what angle the door is already set to.

Just a thought.
good luck
