Post by omniscient »

Is there a way in radiant to select multiple burshes with one click? say for instance i make a hollowed out box. Is there a way to select all six sides at once from anywhere u click on the box? thanks.

now that would be nice wouldnt it. A lil funtion that groups brushes like in 3DS Max or something. Maybe we should start a letter writing campaign or something.

(Entity Window > Func_Group > Enter)
Technically, this is a b_model (brush model) entity. However, it's a great way to manage and handle related groups of map components for ease of selection. To use, select the brushes and patches you want to group and then open the Entity window (press "N"). Click on the entity list sub-window and type in "F" to move to the top of the "funcs". Double-click on Func_Group and all the brushes and patches selected are bound together into a group. Select one and you select them all.

hmm, aint workin for me. I make a box and hollow it out. with it still selected i hit n and go to func_group on the top window thing. I hit enter and func_group appears near my selected brushes. when i close the entity window func_group remains by my brushes, however i still need to select one at a time. Is thee some setting i need to check of for it to work or what?

Select one brush in the group, and then ctrl + E.

The rest of the group will be selected.

select inside

Post by tltrude »

Try this:

Create an brush that completly surrounds the object (any texture or no texture at all). Then go the the selection menu and click on "Select Inside". The surrounding brush will vanish and every brush that was completly inside it will be highlighted.
