NOT ANOTHER DOOR ERROR

I am new and have successfully built a few working doors. Tried other tuts and when went back to make a door and building and now i get the following error when making a door.

ERROR:Func_Rotatingdoor: Set Solid Type: Solid_BSP entity at X ### Y ### Z ### with no BSP model.

(### = numbers when door sits)

I know not what to do...plz help.

i think its due to haveing the door and origin box set as rotating door
i think thats it.
i had this prob a while ago and cant exactly remember what caused it so this may help

Doh! :oops: i was only selecting the origin brush and not both. Working fine now

This same problem just started on my tonight. But my error message says that my door as located at 0,0,0.

But in Radient, their is nothing there. And there never was. It's an open part of the map.

Are you sure there's not an origin brush there? Make sure to switch off all filters.

Yeah, that was the first thing that I did. The weird part is I've just gone back a version of the map I was using yesterday. I'm positive it was compiling fine when I backed it up. But it is gettting the same error. Maybe it was the -nodetail option I put in the BSP. I'll try that next.

You can open your .map file with Wordpad. All the entities will be towards the bottom of the text page.

Thats a great tip. But there are no entities at 0 0 0.

I did a compile without using the "-nodetail" flag in the bsp step and it worked OK.

Pretty weird.
