this is my site and i put up the map that's causing me so much trouble
i removed all the stairs and all that so it's all one big flat map with the base of all the buildings from destroyed village

could someone PLEASE look at it and tell me wot's wrong with the sun!!
after i compile and play.....the ground is aaaaaaaaaall black and i can only see the sky

That means you didn't put any light in your map.
You can see the sky because it generates its own light, but it only lights itself.

i dunno y it doesn't work...but it works if u copy the address to ur address bar

My Winzip says it is not a valid archive.

Try adding these key/values to your worldspawn properties--highlight a skybox brush and hit key N.
Key: ambientlight
Value: 18 18 18

Key: suncolor
Value: 65 65 65

The bigger the numbers, the brighter it will be--these settings are good for daylight.

I compiled ur map and it looks okay here :?
nevertheless, change texture common/blank_lightmap to common/caulk.
