Custom Textures

Post by echo_rancid »

Since I dont have photoshop right now, I was wondering where I can find a bunch of decent custom textures to use. I don't wanna be repeatitive with the moh textures. Any ideas where I can find some??? Also how to I get a custom texture to show up in mohradient? Thanks.

You dont need photoshop, any paint program that can handle tga's will work. In fact you dont even need tga's you can use jpg's and they will work fine.

Try getting a copy of paintshop pro, cheaper alternative to photoshop.

Try searching google for some textures also I posted a thread on here a couple weeks ago with a zip with some custom textures, look for my thread for Custom Posters or Custom Textures.

The Spartan ephors sent back a one word reply: "If".

I might sound stupid but why do you need paint shop or program like it. Cant you just use the texturs the way thay are.

Well, not if they need to be resized and converted to .tga's.

Thanks...one more quick question. I noticed some custom textures I have downloaded just appear in radient while others do not. How do I make sure they are in radient?

In preferences there is an option to show non shader images. To make sure they are working properly turn off the non shader images option and if you see it in radiant its a safe bet you did it correctly.

Put the .pk3 file into the main folder (main, mainta, maintt) that corresponds to the SDK that you're using.

if this won't help, tell us the link to those textures and we know what we're talking about...
