wots a normal visdatesize for a map?
cuz i already have 40256 and i'm like 1/8 done

It depends on the size of the map and how many structural brushes there are. The limit is around 2Mb, so you are in real good shape so far. You can always make more things detail, if it gets close to the limit. And, of course, the more vis data you have, the longer it will take to compile.

For better FPS also check the average clusters visible when you compile the map the lower that number the better your vis is set up .

if you get too high a vis size then "make detail" some of the brush's that are used for details. ie tables, pillars and things like that. :wink:
