I wonder if anyone has had these problems that i have had with mohaa/spearheaad.
My wife kindly got me mohaa/spearhead deluxe edition from a welll known online retailer and i have spent many hours so far killing and blowing things up,but i had a strange thing happen when i tried to install the uk/us patch for mohaa because it said uk/us version not detected.
Strange when i have the uk version sitting right in front of me no matter what i did it would not install it was only when i re-installed and hit auto configure that i noticed the auto configure bit (your processor is blah blah and so on)that it was in german!?
so i tried the german patch and hey presto it works, but with a side effect,it turns have my writing to german(where it was english).
How can a game thats all in english(including the manual)be german?
My one and (hopefully only)other problem is that when i install spearhead radient will not let me use ai soldiers of any kind it just says that radient has performed an illegal operation blah blah blah but when im using mohaa it works fine,i have tried it on my wifes computer and it does all of the above mentioned i know computers have their funny (im not going to play by the rules days, more often than not in my case)but does'nt this seem a little wierd to anyone else??!

I got this problem as well... it seems that my all english version is not english enough for the UK patch
This is what you do:
Get th UK patch.
Type Regedit in your Run command on the Start menu, goto:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > eagames > medal of honour allied assault
Change the string that says something like: 1.1.12.130
into: 1.1.12.200
...and that solved my problem, ran the patch with no problems at all after that.

localization
The text on the screen is controled by the file name "localization.txt" in pak0.pk3/global--at least that is where it is in mohaa. So, if you can find the english version of it and put it in main/global or mainta/global, it should fix that problem.
in most ea games in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > eagames > (name of game) there is also a string called language and it has a value like (US & UK) or similar.shouldnt that be the problem?and bjarnze ,could u be more specific as id hate 2 mess up the registry
can u be sure of that,a screenie would help alot 2Change the string that says something like: 1.1.12.130
into: 1.1.12.200

Well, no I cant as I've overwritten the entry in my registry with the new value.... But the new value SHOULD be "1.1.12.200".
If you are afraid to mess things up ( very healthy feeing when dealing with the registry ) you can select the tab you are about to change and select Export. You can then save a copy of that branch to a file, and if you mess up you can double click that *.reg file later to restore the stuff you changed. Tadaaaa!
