Well, I do know that major work on the MP portion didn't really even begin until just last month (January, 2004). Do they actually mean January 2005??? Winter 2004 to most would mean December 2004-Feb/March 2005....or am is that just me?

It should be late Q3 if lucky more like Q4. They had major problems with the Havoc physics engine which delayed them. (Most likly the true delay with HL2 also as they hinted to that).

Magazine articles as of late show game content finally being developed so im sure they are on there way.

Lets just hope with this new engine EA developed that they are allowing the community to support it modding wise :)

I thought winter quarter started in January. You know, kind of like college? Fall quarters go til December, and Winter quarters start in January. By that reasoning, it would be out in a few months. Maybe It's optimism? or wishful thinking?

I'll go with the optimism. And a large cola with onion rings on the side.

Gosh man you guys need to get with the game eh. This info is old. The august press release ment that it was gonna be released in January 2004 2 months ago, but they made a announcement in Computer Gaming Worlf saying it will be released in Fall 2004. This is a perfect timing because the holiday season will start to begin. :)

Yea... it's an old press release for sure... but it's also the only 'online' EA document wich names a date.

Seems they altered the press release with the new date instead of coming up with a new story...

Not everyone on this forum reads Computer Gaming World.

I believe that I read (although I can't remember where at this point), while it was to be released in winter 2004 (e.g. Q1 of 2004) EA decided to delay the release until the first quarter of it's fiscal year--which I believe begins July 1. Financially, this makes sense. I assume that EA has had a banner [fiscal] year with decent sellers like the expansions for Battlefield and MOH. To delay MOHPA until the next fiscal year [really only a couple of months] almost guarantees EA a solid start to their fiscal year. This makes EA look good for investers.

Thanks for the welcome, Random. You all have a great site going here. I stumbled across it trying to decide if I want to give it a shot at making MOH maps (I made a dozen or so maps for Red Faction; however, I've moved on to playing MOH routinely so I've left RF behind). Until I decide to actually take a chance at making a MOH map, I'll enjoy biding my time playing MOH multiplayer instead.

Again, thanks for the welcome.
