I ment MOHAA2, the current rate of progress makes me believe that this map won't be finished soon enough to be played by ppl who still have MOHAA installed

He he. Well something tells me that people have an easier time to collaborate on V2 style maps, where you can slap new stuff in without having to fear for the design of the rest of the map. Outdoor levels have a tendency to require more pre-planning... So I guess it was a bad call on my part to start from the base I did... :?:

Being the 'captain' in this boat  , couldn't u try to find a main theme, the 'general intention' of the map. Maybe mappers will then find it easier to put their pieces in, if the knew what and where. Let's start with: It'll be an obj or tow or dm or whatever. Team A starting in a XXX somewhere in the north or in the south and will have to... And so on... And this is not just to Bjarne: Who's got an idea what kind of map this could be?

Well, funny that you should mention it Wacko, as I've got a VERY clear picture of my intention with this map.

I made the start as a test for the 3:rd map in the Vemork series.

First map: Vemork Approach: Get to the Vemork Heavy Water plant over the "Hardangervidda" ( a huge massif in Norvay ). - Released
Second map: Vemork Factory: Disable the Vemork Heavy Water plant. - Released
Third map: Vemork Escape: Get away safe after destroying the Vemork Heavy Water plant. - This map
Second map: Vemork Ferry: Destroy the ferry "Hydro" before the Axis can ship the last remaining Heavy Water over Tinn lake. - Soon to be released by Random.

- The map is OBJ ( but will also be released in DM a version ). The objective will work the same way as Vemork Approach: when an Allied soldier reaches the designated are the Allies win.
- No respawning enabled.
- The allied start on the road on the side of the map that now has a house with an unexploded bomb in it ( where the road starts, not where the house is ). The Axis start on the other edge of the road.
- The setting is at the bottom of a long valley, and the vegetation is in the state where spring is coming and has melted most of the snow, but there are no flowers yet. So small patches of snow where there are a lot of shadows are a good idea ( I have no idea if you can get it to look good however ). Getting the feeling you are at the bottom of a long valley could maby be done in part by landscape design, and in part by a custom sky.

I was thinking of making a pub next to the house with the unexploded bomb, but do i make the pub bombed? I can claim the map now! Tell me what you think.

If you think the location of this map is close to the factory then there is a good chance of bombs having exploded here, but as the Allied had some aiming problems ( 161 B-17 and B-24 bombers released their cargo on Vemork and V?er with 711 500-kilo and 200 250-kilo high explosive bombs. About 12 bombers dropped 118 250-kilo bombs over Rjukan. Only 2 bombs destroyed the heavy water plant. ) there is a larger chance of craters in the landscape than acual building hits... ( and besides, they already hit one house... whats the odds of hitting two ;) ).

But you claimed the map, you decide.
