undamaged model not disappearing after explosion

Post by K.I.A. »

I have made a multiplayer obj using the "Blow up that multiplayer objective" in the multiplayer mapping tutorials on this site, using a king tiger tank as the model. I have followed the instructions precisely, only omitting the exploder chunks step. Everything works fine, except for once the explosion takes place, the original tank model remains, overlapping the destroyed model. I have tried everything I can think of and any ideas that have been suggested to me. I am frustrated and very tired of compiling my map over and over again.

Has anyone out there encountered this problem and found the solution? If so I will be very grateful if you share it me. :D

Ok, after a real good think, and looking at the tutorial again, I decided that the most important part to make this happen, was the targetname/exploder key/value. This led me to discover that I'm a complete idiot, as I had the key "targetame" instead of "targetname"...

Lesson learned: You can never be too thorough when troubleshooting your map.

We have all done that before! Any mapper/scripter that says they have never had a syntax error is lying!

Yeah, they should of included a spell checker in radiant! It's all their fault, not ours!
