I don't know how to explain my stance on rifles. I'm in a clan that allows all weapons, and I don't mind playing against smg's and shotties (It's good practice and really helps you develop your aim, dodging, and tactics), but I don't hold machine gunners in the same respect as I do for fellow riflemen. To me, a rifle fight is an honorable conflict, and a truer test of player skill than two people spraying bullets at each other.

It's not that I dislike machine gunners. I just think that it's a lot easier to learn how to become deadly with a machine gun than it is to become a good rifleman. It's apples and oranges, really. Sometimes I like to just break out with a subby and just bounce around the level and mow people down, which you can't really do with a rifle.

I don't know. I just don't like how some players refuse to try and be flexible/well rounded with all guns. I think you should learn to use everything. It annoys me when I switch my clan server to rifles only and all the smg'ers start complaing and whining, and I know it's because they don't have a chance in hell of killing me anymore once they lose their lead sprayers.

Man, this turned into a ramble. If you're still reading, umm... thank you.

I concur Axion...I love rifles, I think that where the true skill lies...anyways its more realistic...most of the Axis during the true war had to use rifles. In small maps though you gotta bring out the smg and the shotty, no doubt about it unless everyone is going to go rifles.

Axion what is your server IP?

Here's the I.P. to our Spearhead server- 66.199.183.210:12258

Our old Breakthrough Server is gone, but we just ordered a new one, and it's going to be rifles only. :D

My name is -=GrUnTz=-[D]Col. Jimmy Tango, so maybe one of these days you'll run into me.

Thanks for the ontopic comment, Yarik

Besides, skill has nothing to do with it, cause it is a game, and games are meant to be FUN, not an ego test.

I simply have fun playing with all the weapons whether I'm getting my ass kicked or kicking someone's ass.

That's my last off topic rant. :D :D :D :D :D

I'm sorry, but I totally disagree. There is more skill required to use a rifle effectively than there is to use a smg. Skill has to be involved, because if there was no skill required whatsoever, anybody could just pick up the game and post awesome scores with any weapon, with no prior practice.

Opps... I looked at the script and tha lines are added alright... but I seem to have failed to mention that they should be placed not only in the sound_setup method, but more specifically: in the sound_setup method AFTER the Script master is spawned
