Anyway i obviously biult i correctly cos i can go DOWN from the top without anyproblems but i can't get UP from the bottom, I know this is nothing to do with that texture i mentioned earlier cos i tried it without the ladder aperiance and it still did EXACTLY the damn same thing. i ran into this once but the problem was that i accidently moved the func_ladder a few units down instead of reducing it by that size .resulting in the beggining of the func_ladder being under the ground ,and the ground brush was blocking the way so u cant climb.make sure that the start of the func_ladder is OVER the ground
space
Also, make sure you have at least 48 units between the ladder brush face and the wall behind the player as he gets on.
48 units!
I think the 48 unit thing is probably the solution M8 thanks I am gona try it now!
Kinda got it
Well I kinda got it thanks tltrude for his 48 unit thing. Anyway I can get down from my ladder and up my ladder BUT when you get to the top u have to twist your head in a peculiar way to get over the top. Even though it works I think iif it was in a game it would discourage people going up my cool sniper towers. (I have left 16 units above the top so you can climb over)

check this tut or u can make the func_ladder a bit taller,i never had any problems with ladders when the func_ladders were taller than the ladder itself.
